Reading CD pdf files using Visual Basic

I have a program which converts a pdf to text file. I am looking for help in writing a program in VB which reads CD drive on the start of application and put's all the pdf file names in an array from the cd drive. The program should start looking the drive when the application is started by the user. Make an assumption D drive is CD drive.
