I am trying to access log files on a remote server with urchin software

I am attempting to get urchin to read logs on another server and am getting the error “ unable to retrieve file listing “ I am using unc paths to connect to the webserver . if I goto start run and type in \\server name\share  I am connected to the share on the other server , however when I attempt to connect to the share inside the application I get the error . what is the port that the application connects on , perhaps it is blocked . if I connect to a log file on the local server it works fine.

yes it does , this issue seems to be related to a port being blocked in a firewall that sits in betweene the 2 servers , do you know what port erchin uses to get log files from another server?

I do not know what port it uses.

You can look at the firewall logs to see which ones are being blocked.

Or here I did a google search and found this:

http://www.google.com/support/urchin45/bin/answer.py?answer=28258&topic=7429

Which says the default port is 9999, but you may need to see if the port has been changed (see link)
