USR Access point has no IP address

Hi guys,

I have a USR 5450 access point that has lost all its settings.  I have carried out a hard reset and am running the USR configurator but it shows an IP address of 0.0.0.0 although it appears to find the AP.  My SBS 2003 serves as the DHCP server.  How can I get the system to generate an IP address for the AP so that I can then set up a static IP address using the configurator?

Thanks.

Greetings MichaelSacher,

First of all you need to download the following Configuration Utility:

http://www.usr.com/support/5450/5450-files/USR5450_Utility_1.42b1.exe

Although I never use it before, but all AP's has the same concept, then you need to find the IP configurator, I prefer to give it static IP within the same range of your IP schema, then connect it to your Switch or router.

Good Luck!

Genius!

That configurator worked, the one on my installation disk did not.

Many thanks.
