Multiple Outlook Inboxes appeared, need to remove, 500 pts!

Experts,

I have an Outlook 2003 SP2 inbox, that generated three new inboxes along side it. (inbox, inbox2, inbox3).  The user went ahead and deleted the 'new' inboxes.  When you attempt to empty the Deleted Items folder you get the following error:

Microsoft Office Outlook:
Unable to delete this folder.  Right-click the foler, and then click Properties to check your permissions for the folder.  See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions.  Outlook has not finished syncronizing local changes made to items in this folder.  You cannot delete the folder until the synchrronization with the server is complete.

and when you check the permissions on the folder per the above instructions you recieve this:

Some permissions could not be displayed.  Permission Information for this folder could not be accessed.

Also, there are no permissions to be displayed or modified.

Issue must be resolved immediately.

Ferando.

Greetings, R_Ferando !

Some outlook files must be corrupt. Create a new Outlook profile.

1. Register an important Outlook file. Go to Start > Run and type regsvr32 OLE32.DLL

2. Disable Outlook Addins.  Go to Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > Addin Manager or COMM/Addins and disable the addins.

3. Create a new Outlook profile.

ASKER

Thanks, war1

I am unsure about the 'addins' section that you were speaking of.  I am testing this on my local machine before touching the other persons machine and am unsure of what to uncheck in your 'step 2'.  I have the following:

+ Delegate Access
+ Deleted Item Recovery
+ Exchange Extensions commands
+ Exchange Extensions property pages
_ Server Scripting

(Plus is for check mark, _ is for un-checked)

What should I check or un-check?

RF.
To disable an add-in, uncheck the box next to the addin.
Yes, but which ones should I check or un-check?

no, Issue has not been resolved.  I abandoned the project because I was uncomfortable working on the persons laptop. (has alot of 'classified' info, and I did not have the settings for all of his accounts, etc.)  Mods, feel free to delete this entire thread. war1, I wil award you the points if that is possible.
Thanks Venabili and GranMod!
