Disable USB device other than key board and mouse

Dear all
I have querry , is it possiable to disable usb devices other than key board and mouse through group policy or through registry chaange on windows xp desktop . IF yes then please let me know.

    Hi sandeep1971,

    you cant lock down USB via GPO

    you can lock down USB on a desktop machine but its not a subjective block, it blocks or allows

    im not a scripter but if you even attempted this, you would have have to specify every individual USB component available - millions...

    Not with the native Windows tools; you can use a third-party tool like DeviceLock ( to do that, though.
