Verizon DSL workgroup communication error

I have a home network comprised of the following...
Verizon DSL access through Westell router.
Workstation 1 (running XP Pro) OS is connected directly to Westell router via ethernet cable
Laptop (running XP Pro) connects to Westell router via 802.11g wireless
Workstation 2 (running XP Home) connects to Westell router via 802.11g wireless

All 3 units are a member of the workgroup that was setup on the Westell router, but when you ping from any of them the command fails.

On workstation 1 all 3 machines are visible when in view workgroup computers.

Looking for suggestion on how to resolve connectivity issue so that user can share resources, i.e. printers, faxes.

make sure your tcpip configuration on all machines are configured like these web tutorials, also make sure there is a share created on all machines.
