SQL Server Express 2005 Business Intelligence Development Studio

Hi experts,

I am upgrading my MSDE 2000 to SQL Server Express 2005. I installed the Advanced Edition and Toolkit. I think I should be able to create reports using Business Intelligence Development Studio, but I can't find Business Intelligence Development Studio menu. There is a Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 menu instead, but with which I can't create reports. Because there is no report project option available.

I noticed I got an warning message during the setup while installing the last item "Workstation component, Books online and development Tools", which said "Warning 28123. Warning: SQL Server cannot install this feature because a different edition of this feature is already installed. For more information, see 'Version and Edition Upgrades' in SQL Server Books Online".
Could somebody help me out?

I finally get the Business Intelligence Development Studio up and running. I don't know why exactly. I just uninstalled SQL Express and cleaned the registry entries of all versions of SQL Server. Then it worked.

you should uninstall every thing related to sql server 2005 CTP version or 2005 any other edition before you do installation for sql express edition.
