Fixing Crystal Reports.NET Browser Timout due to Large Recordset.

I have a Crystal Reports.NET web app. I'm able to create a report when I query a database and return only a small number of rows but when I change the query to include a large number of rows the browser times out.

I am using Visual Studio 2003 and the Crystal Reports.NET version that comes along with that install.

Does anybody know how to get around the timeout problem?

I have already tried increasing the execution timout in the web.config file to no avail.

 <httpRuntime maxRequestLength="24000" useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="false" executionTimeout="360"/>

Any advice would be greatly appreicated.

I found the answer. Can I give the points to myself   :-)

You have to set the sql data adapter's timout in the query.

SqlDataAdapter da = new SqlDataAdapter ( cmdObj ) ;
DataSet dataSet = new DataSet();
da.SelectCommand.CommandTimeout = 0;

The zero means unlimited wait for execution.

Nice huh...
