Exchange Active Sync Address

When I try to connect a Treo 700W to my exchange server to do Exchange ActiveSync which address do i need to use?

Does it use the same as OWA (domain/exchange)?

It appears that it will not allow you to use a "/exchange" redirector, so how do I change IIS to move directly to "/exchange" or whatever I need it pointing to?

When you are configuring EAS on the Windows Mobile device you enter just the machine address - no directory.
Therefore if your server is accessed on the internet by https://mail.domain.net/exchange for OWA, then you enter mail.domain.net in the box on the Windows Mobile device.

Will this also work if i am using the Public IP address instead of the domain name?  Also, if I have the site using port 81 will that cause a problem for EAS?  I am using x.x.x.x:81

I have never tried EAS on an alternative port as I don't deploy OWA on alternative ports. I find OWA is unreliable on alternative ports - it is designed to operate on port 80 and 443 only.
OMA connects to the /exchange virtual directory internally on http, so you may find that it doesn't work.

The only problem with using an IP address is that it will not connect internally if the device hooks on to any network inside your office. A DNS name is always preferable.

That makes a lot of sense.  Thanks for the help.
