RTF to PDF conversion library.

We are looking for a PDF library which can convert RTF documents into searchable PDF documents on the fly.  Preferrably using a dll.  Looking for something fast, lightweight, and with flexible runtime licensing.  Also, preferrably a product from an established company.

Any insight and ideas are appreciated.

There are several variants of RTF.  Since it is MS owned, they can change it any time they like and they do change it with every new version of Word.   The problem with a lot of these converters is that they tend to be text box based.  They convert the text and stick it in a text box.  The next paragraph goes into another text box.  Everything looks great until you try to modify the code then you find hundreds if not thousands of textboxes in your document and the text doesn't flow.

We don't use any tools to create the rtf's, we create them on the fly using very basic formatting tags.   Items such as tables, headers, footers, font, and images.  I can't see them changing much and MS. seems to be really good with backwards compatibility over the years.
Try this as a starting point

There are a whole load of libs there but I've never tested any of them.  At the current workplace, they convert rtf to an intermediate language and then from there to PDF.
