Messages in Queue After Mailbox Move

After bringing up a 2nd Exchange 2003 server, I moved my mailbox for testing mailbox moves.  Now my email is stuck in the queue on the original EXCHANGE1 and I can't figure out how to get it to deliver to the mailbox on EXCHANGE2.

Did I miss a step?


We get this status message on the queue on the original server.

"The connection was dropped by the remote host."

Most common reason for failure is a smart host configured on the SMTP Virtual Server. That overrides whatever is found in the DNS. If you need to use an smart host for email delivery then use an SMTP Connector.
