HD Audio and Intel 955xbk boards

No matter what I try, I get the dreaded "device object not found" when trying to install the SigmaTel codecs on the Intel 955x motherboard.  I'm running the 5011 version of the Microsoft UAA files (from 8/24/04), which match another 955xbk system I have access to.  As far as I know, I followed the correct procedure on a clean install (inf files, UAA driver, SigmaTel codecs).  I'm ready to trash the mobo and call it a hardware problem, but wanted to throw this out there to see if I've missed something.

Yes I did.  Turned out it was bad hardware.  I should have suspected as much when I had so much trouble just getting the raid to boot correctly.  Next time I won't spend 8 hours before trying different hardware!

Thanks for the response anyway.
Well, thanks for the grade - maybe it'll help someone else in the PAQ.

Hardware issues (especially on new hardware) are often such a pain, because they can look like so many different software issues instead.

I wish you a sucessfull RMA.
