Hi

Iam currently using HTML (WebBrowser component) for report generation, however my customers would like additional features ( tray selection, orientation and so on ) these seem to be hard to implement when printing HTML from VB. Additionally i also need support for PDF creation because my customers send these Reports by email and they quite often get put in the spam filter because they are HTML files, this is why i thought the easiest way might just be to convert my current documents to PDF before ever showing them for the customer... This way i could easily submit the PDF document once generated.. and then i hope i could additionally print with advanced features such as tray selection and so on

Does anyone know of a component which could do this for me ?

It would have to be able to convert files from HTML to PDF
Preview the result in a window within my application
Print and save these pdf files

/*cheapest solution (actually free)*/
you could just have them print to a pdf.
http://www.primopdf.com/
allows you to simply select the pdf printer..save it...then you can even print it from acrobat.
but every client must have this installed

is this a web app, or do you simply create a html file locally and have IE open it.
if it is a local app then

if there is any server side proccessing going on you could use this on the server to send a pdf

sorry web grabber is server based too, but primopdf has a API that allows you to access it from your app.
