Data execution prevention (DEP) shutting down Generic host process for win32 services on boot up

When I boot my computor I get a message in a window saying
Data execution prevention (DEP) shutting down Generic host process for win32 services.

OS is windows XP professional.

Please give me a solution to this problem.

When I close the window, it keeps coming up repeatedly for about 10 times before it finally quits. Error reporting to microsoft does not provide any solution.

Do you have any HP printers or all-in-devices installed?

HP makes nice printers but their software has been a royal pain in the neck forever.
