I have a mixed network at home. Four PC's and two Mac's. All connected via a Netgear 100meg switch and Netgear EN108's and EN104's. My internet is provided by a Zoom router and I have an Airport wireless access point and a Netgear Windows access point for use with a Laptop and a Apple Mac Book Pro. All the PC's run XP with auto update running from Microsoft. To solve my printing problems I recently opurchased a HP Colout Laserjet 2600n, with a network connection. All the Mac's and the PC's ran throught the setup no problem with the exception of my newest PC. When you run the setup programme and it scans the network for the printer in goes into an infinite loop and the programme has to be stopped. Even if I coose the "enter printer IP address" option the PC still cannot see the printer. The PC can however, access the internet via the router and access the server (which is a PC running XP pro) So I cannot understand why this one PC cannot see the new HP printer?
