Apache & Web Publishing Folder Fedora Core 3

Hi,

I am pretty new to system administration on Linux (I am running Fedora Core 3) and I am trying to figure out the following:

1. If I have Apache installed correctly (I believe I do. It was supposed to be set up with the server).
2. What folder do I use for my web publishing folder.

Under my root I have the following directories:
bin
dev
home
lost+found
misc
net
proc
sbin
srv
tmp
var
boot
etc
lib
media
mnt
opt
root
selinux
sys
usr

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

To check to see if apache is install issue the following:

rpm -q httpd

if should return something like:

httpd-2.2.0-5.1.2

If this is successful your content will be published under the following:

/var/www/html

also your httpd.conf is located:

/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
