Hibernate

What Jar owns the classes

 org.hibernate.LockMode;
 org.hibernate.SessionFactory;
 org.hibernate.criterion.Example

Link to where I can get it?

I've been downloading hibernate files and I can't seem to get these.

These classes should be in the hibernate3.jar. If you downloaded the binary release of Hibernate Core (http://www.hibernate.org/6.html) then unzip it and you should find that jar along with a number of others, some of which are required (see the Readme for which).

are present in Hibernate3.jar and don't forget to include the jars required by hibernate which will be in lib folder when you unzip the Hibernate who's link jim has given in the class path.

you will get to know the required jars if you go through red me file provided with the hibernate zip package.
(simply to have no head ache just include all the jar files in the lib to the class path. :-) )

Thank You.

Sure Venabili,

I think author can comment about this becuse i think you will be knowing gettig up a hibernate program working is not very simple as it will not only require hibernate3.jar but also many other jars which will be needed by the application.
so i just suggested him to add them in the class path too.  I think if i might have not told that then as soon as the author gets the next exception her will put forward a comment i just wanted to help him solve the things in one shot.

And also i have clearly mentioned jim's name in my comments and more on i have totally avoided reapeating other's comments now if you can check my other comments in the recent past.

:-)

Thank You.

I did before posting the warning :) I know that you are doing ok usually. Just there was quite a lot of repeatin.

I would agree that the classpath hint was an addition ( I knew I am missing something). Honestly if I was you  my comment would be like this :"As an addition to what Jim said, <your classpath tip>". Makes the thread easier to be read, don't you think? Otherwise the addition may go unnoticed - I read it 3 times and actually saw it just as an extended explanation and not new information... Get my point?

But let's hear from the Asker?

Admin, Please Advise me on how to spit these points.

   Both were the same, both were helpful, both were appreciated.   Was this supposed to be a first submit is the winner?

   I hate to see people quibble over minutia.

   In general I would like to see more "BASIC" explanations.  Perhaps the asker should indicate his level of expertise.  I personally would like to read code explanations at the 4th grade level.  That way i don't have to guess what the author assumes is given knowledge.  Less likely an underlying egg I haven't figured out yet.   Also, I want the ability to paste in pictures / video clips.  Text is  just one dimension of good communication.   I'll get off my soap box now.
