Lanier 2045 RJ 45 connection

We've got a Lanier 2045 on a Windows 2000 network, TCP/IP enabled.  It is set at 100 mbps on the NIC, and I want to set it down to 10 mbps to troubleshoot some of the network connectivity problems.  The lanier tech support said it can be done, but he didn't know how.
Please advise how to change the network card speed.
Thanks

Have you tried pointing your browser at the printer's IP address? Most printers have an internal web page from which things like this can be set.

No, I can't even connect to the NIC anymore.  I think it may be fried.

Can you at least ping it? I assume you have tried different network cables and different ports on the hub.

Finally gave up, tried putting new NIC in,no luck, so put in a parallel port print server (rj45 on network side going to parallel port on printer).  That worked, never did know why the NICs won't work.
