I can't login using administrator and I don't have any user who has adminstrator permissions to login locally.

how can I enable my account, its prodution system and I can't login.

Any quick help.

I have seen a posted reply i.e. http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder -- but I don't see option where to run reset password.

Any other hints... don't see anything on microsoft site as well.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Krishna.

PEbuilder just helps you to customize your own Windows PE CD. You may add password reset tools to it. But it don't contain password reset tools itself.

HI Many Thanks for quick response, but I was wondering all these tools are only to reset the password. But my account is disabled, I am wondering, how can I enable the account.

I know the password, but it doesn't allow me to login as it says the account has been disabled.

Any further help.

Thanks,
krishna.

These tools could help you, they can be used to account too. If you want to enable your account, you have to login with another account with administrative privilege (administrators for workgroup, domain admins for AD), then you could enable it.

Reboot the server and hit F8 - choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Log on as the Administrator.

Run:

dsmod user Administrator -disabled no

If that won't work (I suspect it won't) try typing:  control password.cpl

See if you can unlock it there.

Advise.

I resolved the problem by this way: logon to safe mode with networking option and enable the administrator.

Anyone who comes with this same problem, use my option...don't go for this tools which can easily kill couple of hours of yours time.

Hope this helps.
