Pointer: Re forward and reverse playback of swf file

I posted a question about playing a swf movie in forward and reverse. That question can be seen here. Any insight is appreciated.

here I have upload a version
http://download.yousendit.com/CB9560CF50E40317

although it working but output is little jerky, I think it is against the Flash player capability to play video in reverse mode.

I always used to use same trick to play the timeline in reverse and it works fine, but in case of video its bit jerky.

this is the best I can do

Yes it is a bit jerky. I am trying to open the fla folder at this point but I'm getting an unexpected file format error. Any ideas as to why?

You need Flash MX2004( or Flash 8) atleast to open it..

I dont have Flash MX that so I have done it in MX2004.

I was just researching it. Yes I guess my version is too old. Didn't think this would be so problematic. Would you mind posting your actionscript here so that I can take a look at it? I'd appreciate it if you could.

Thank you. It's become evident that my version has no where near the same capabilities as newer versions. Reversemode isn't even available on the version I have.

Its better you download the trial version of Flash 8 from http://www.macromedia.com

OK. I've done that. I'm trying to see if I can get a more smooth transition with the solution you suggested.
