I am trying to access the codec that allows for file conversion.

Is it possible to use System.Diagnostics.Process.Start to convert an mp3 to a wav file or visa-versa? Is there such a function? Can this be done using visual studio 2003 using Windows XP?

    Accepted Solution

    Hi ab2ae;

    System.Diagnostics.Process.Start will start a program in its own process. The program must exist on the system. So in answer to your question if there is a program already on your system to convert "mp3 to a wav file or visa-versa" then yes otherwise no.

    There is no such function in .Net.
