Cannot save new task items to public folder.

A remote user who connects to the domain through a VPN connection cannot create new task items in a public folder. She is able to modify existing items. She has ownership permissions to folder and when I create a profile on my workstation and log in with her credentials I don't have any problems creating new items. Following is the error message she receives:
"The item could not be saved in this folder. The folder may have been deleted or moved. Or, you may not have appropriate permmissions for this folder. Right-click the folder, and then click Properties to cherk your permissions for this folder."
