Svchost.exe error generic host process for win32 services, no virus...I've included the logs.

I've been getting this error daily, after I get the error I can't open any applications. It's an "svchost.exe application error" The insruction at "0x745f2780" refrenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". and another screen always pops up behind that one that says generic host process for win32 services.... the stanard one so here is the log

I've done 3 seperate virus scans and ran adaware, spybot and webroots spysweeper. all t no avail.

Try going to and download the newest Windows Installer.

The error you have points to the msi.dll which is part of the Windows Installer.  Which is accessed by Windows Update.  After installing the installer try installing any updates Windows suggest.

By the way, after the error, I can use programs already open like firefox or ie, even windows explorer, but I can't open any new programs, or even things from the task tray.
