SBS 2003 Action Pak Adding CAL's

I am a Microsoft MSDN and have an Action Pack version of Small Business Server 2003.  It came with 5 CAL's and I want to add more CAL's. I called Microsoft and their answer was, sure you can buy a 5 user retail CAL... and it might work, go for it. I don't want to drop $350 for nothing. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The Action Pack version comes with 10 Cals.  There is an additional set of envelopes in one of the two folders that the action pack comes with that contains the license for 5 additional CALs.

What if I need to add add another 5 or 10.  Do I need Open License, OEM, or Retail?

    Accepted Solution

Retail.  Additional Licences need to be retail licences.
