Repeater control with templated output

I want to control the output from a repeater control sorting on one of the columns from my data source by date.  The repeater control outputs data using templates i.e. <ItemTemplate> etc.  Is there any way to control the output using this method, if not, what is an alternative method?  An example would be great!

    Accepted Solution

    You can sort before you bind.  Or sort in the query that actually pulls the data.

    To sort before databind you can create a dataview on top of your dataset.
