How can I add an extra windows login domain?

Hi,

The company I work for has 4 brands with-in it. I would like to setup our new network such that a user of BrandA could login as BrandA\Username or username@BrandA.co.uk whilst a user of BrandB could login as BrandB\username or userame@BrandB.

Ideally this would just be a domain alias with a single AD system behind it.

The network has a PDC and a SDC at the moment that runs the DNS services as well.

Any ideas?

Peter Clark.

Yes - just get the domains to Trust each other

You need to set up a two way Transitive trust on the ROOT of evey domain so It Trusts the other domains.
You might want to set up conditional forwarding on the DNS of aLL the DNS servers to forward traffic directly to the DNS servers of the other domains to "slicken" up performance.

So would I have to setup a new PDC for each of the brand domains? i.e. have 4 PDCs that all trust each other?

Ouch - much as I feared :( I only have the two domain controllers and would need to buy another 2.

Thanks for your help!
