hi experts

I`m developing plugin for eclipse.
It`s going very well but i have some strage problem:
in my code I have this line:            TextNode textNode = new TextNode("blabla");
When I`m running the plugin from the eclipse ( run as -> eclipse application) it works great, but when I`m compailing it
to jar and copy it to the plugin directory, The application just stops at this line. ( no excetion thrown )
Does anybody have any idea ?
Is there another way to add text to xml tag ?  ( <xmlTag> Text </xmlTag> )

Thanks

Yes, seeing the xml file like a normal file.

About the stop:
Do you have any other TextNode instruction line before that?
Do you have any other library having TextNode in it?

...and do you have a try catch block containing TextNode?
...and do you have TextNode in a method throws Exception?

The TextNode is in a try, catch, but no exception is beeing thrown.
The program just won`t do what it should from this point on.

This is the first TextNode line in the code.
I`m not using any external jar in this project.

In Eclipse there is a Perspective to see the PDE errors. Do you have seen it?

yes I`ve seen it. no error about my plugin.
Could the problem be the jre version ( 1.4 / 1.5 ? ), and If it is, what could be the solution ?

It could be.
The solution is to compile at the version you will use.
(if 1.4 then compile with 1.4 or target 1.4)

Thinking better...
the try catch is over an Exception, isn't it?
Try to catch even Error. If something appens you must see it in someway.
Do not use the System.out to display the error/exception because in PDE mode it could be not seen. Use a JOptionPane if possible.

To Giant2 , I already thought better and did it but no OptionPane apperad, means no exception is being thrown.
but you will get the points for your previous answer. thanks.
