How to manually uninstall Norton Antivirus 2006

Hello, a client tried to install Norton antivirus 2006 on her computer but for unknown reasons to me, the installation failed at some point. When I try to uninstall it using add/remove programs, the uninstallation simply crash as soon as I click delete all. Does anyone here know a site that explains the steps to achieve a manual uninstall??

Thanks in advance!

Hello there,

Here is the full step by step instructions on how to install Norton 2006 From the CD.
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2005081113010106

As for removing it you could do a windows restore on the system. You could also try doing a "Last Known Good Configuration"

Also try removing it from add/remove programs in safemode. It might be a little easier.

Hope this helps
Here are the instructions if you donwloaded it from the website.

Hello Spec01, unfortunately, no restore point are available prior to the failed installation, it's been too long since then. Abour safe mode, the uninstall just won't work, it just tells you to boot in normal mode to complete the uninstallation process. As for documentation, what I'm looking for is doc on How to Manually remove it, not install it.

Thanks
