Hey experts!
Ok, i have a 2003 SBS and a bunch of windows 2000 and XP clients. I made a domain policy on my SBS to enable screen saver after an hour and password protect it. Everything works great; BUT I have one 2000 computer that i do not want this policy to apply to. I can't seem to figure out how to do it. This 2000 machine does not have any firewall.

Can this be done with a 2000 machine?
where on my 2003 SBS would i do this?

    Accepted Solution

go to the GPO that you made and in the properties on the security page you can "Deny" the permissions fo apply it

Or make an OU called "no screensaver", put the computer in it, and block the policy

few ways to do this actually.  I think the recommended though is to use the "Deny"  'Apply Group Policy' permission on the object for that particular user.

Here is a link to a posting (i hope this is allowed) that I found with the similar issue.

    hope this helps..
