Hotmail does not Remember my Log In Address
My hotmail log in page gives me the option to Save my Email address.....this has always worked in the past. For some reason now when I go to my log in page I have to retype my email address. I have done the following :-
Open IE>Tools>Internet Options>Content>AutoComple te
and uncheck Rememebr usernames and passwords on Forums and Prompt me to Save passwords
apply and close IE
reopen to check for the problem ??
The foregoing posted solution did not work. My cookies are enabled. Any suggestions.l

Greetings, scottjefftracey !
What has worked in the past? Saving other email service login address? Or saving Hotmail login address?
Hotmail, along with Yahoo and Gmail, uses javascript to prevent remembering login address. This is a security feature so that others cannot easily log into your account. Unless you can disable Hotmail javascript, then you will need to type in your login address and password.
Best wishes!

Hotmail is the only one I use and it always worked in the past.....how do I disable Hotmail Javascript. Other sites like experts-exchange no problem.....
Scott,
I was thinking of another email service. Hotmail does allow you save your email address. But login page has changed recently. So first, you need to delete your old Hotmail cookies. Now you can login and Hotmail will remember the address in a new cookies file.
Presently, I cannot login to Hotmail because server is down. You can try to log into to your Hotmail server.

Scott,
We have not heard from you in awhile. Did any comment help you solve your problem? Do you have any more question? If an Expert helped you, please accept his/her answer above with an excellent or good grade.

I deleted all of my cookies, but it still does not work. It did work a couple of times but continues to not save the address.

Hotmail remembers you with cookies. So either the Hotmail cookie is corrupt, or that you do not have cookies enabled. We checked for corrupted cookies by deleting them.
To make sure your cookies are enabled, with IE open, go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced. Uncheck "Override automatic cookie handling". Click OK.

It was "unchecked". The problem is not consistent....sometimes the login name appears and other times is is blank. ?.
