We have a couple 3550's that can't support more than 128 instances of stp. We thought about putting the switches in transparent mode and entering only the vlan's we need. Could we configure the 3550's with MIST, and have the rest of the network switches doing PVST+?<br />

On a side bar, how many instances of stp do the 3750, 4500 and 6500 switches support?<br />

A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. Routers perform the "traffic directing" functions on the Internet.
