External disk storage/drive for Desktop

I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 Minitower and like to have an external storage/drive with ~ 100 GM capacity.
Any recommendations and pricing?

They sell a Maxtor 100GB drive http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A0441031&category_id=5683, which would work, but if you can get a 100GB hard drive for $100 or less (easy to do), combining that with the enclosure would be cheaper.  It depends on if you feel ok with spending more and buying it from Dell.

I would recommend an external USB2 enclosure and then you can add any available IDE drive to it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817155003.  You can swap out the hard drive for a larger one as time goes on, and you will benefit from the inherently lower prices of bare hard drives.

I recommend a metal case because it can get pretty hot after a few hours, and you want to keep it as cool as possible.
