Probably cause the floppy is MS formatted rather than linux formatted, but I figure I should ask:

After updating the interfaces, it tries to save the config to the floppy and reboot.  So I put in a blank MS floppy and

Warning: fopen(/cf/conf/config.xml): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /etc/inc/config.inc on line 579 Unable to open config.xml for writing in write_config()

thanks,

I'm using a ms formatted floppy with only
conf
folder, but my MonoWall probably is older .
