Thanks for reading this question!

My harddrive's icon has somehow disappeared, instead it shows up as a miscellaneous file icon in windows explorer and my computer.  How do I get my normal harddrive icon back? Thanks!

Try rebooting and if it doesn't work check if the file c:\autorun.inf exists and rename/delete it if it does.

I figured it out just now.  I went to disk management, changed the letter of the harddrive, then switched it back.  Reboot, and then the harddrive icon came back.
