    Hi AlexFM;

    ToolStripSplitButton : Represents a combination of a standard button on the left and a drop-down button on the right, or the other way around if the value of RightToLeft is Yes. The drop down list has other items that can be selected. Also the standard button can be programmed to be one of the items in the drop down list so that the list does not have to be opened to select that item.

    ToolStripDropDownButton : Represents a control that when clicked displays an associated ToolStripDropDown from which the user can select a single item.

    So the difference between them is that ToolStripSplitButton has a standard button that can be programmed to select one of the items in the list without opening the list and the ToolStripDropDownButton when clicked on opens a list from which you must select the item.
