Mapisend problem on Windows Server 2003

I have aproblem running mapisend on a windows server 2003.

The mapisend application works just fine, when sending to a single recipient.  But, when sending to multiple recipients, separated by ";" it fails with an error code 02 (supposedly MAPI_E_NO_SUPPORT).  The same command works just fine on a Windows 2000 Server.

Has anyone else encountered this and found a cause/workaround?

why don't you create a distribution list and put the recipients in it?

Hmmm... that might work.  A bit of a pain, as I'd have to create  about a hundred separate distribution lists.  But, it may be worth a shot.

just how many recipients would you like to add to a single mail?
This might be related to your Outlook version ( i'm assuming mapisend needs outlook since it calle MAPIsend)
Maybe if you install the same outlook-version as on the 2000-box it'll work?

I don't think the OS plays a role here.

I've been trying to find an Outlook 2000 version of Mapisend.  Can't verify (at the moment) what version the old Outlook was.  Any thoughts on where I can find a newer version of Mapisend?  (All I can find on MS site is a like suggesting I should buy a book with the Exchange Resource Kit in it...?)

I don't think you need another version of mapisend , the name MAPIsend suggests this program uses outlook to send mails using the MAPI interface which is provided by Outlook.
Is it an option to install the same Outlook version on the 2003 server as on the 2000-server?

Well it ended up being an incompatibility between Mapisend and Outlook.  Since I couldn't install an earlier version of Outlook, I found a 2000 version of Mapisend, which works.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
