Citrix Web Client displaying same printer in different session id

I'm new to Citrix PS4 and am trying to figure out some printing issue with our apps. Our users are using the web client to access the publish apps.  When I view the auto created printers, a user would have the same printer auto created multiple times depending on how many apps he has opened.  Is this normal for PS4 or a configuration issue.  thanks

this is not normal so it's either a configuration issue, or a bug.  Do all of the printers have the exact same driver as well?

Any ideas as to where the problem may be.   A policy in CMC was setup with printer autocreation setting and it seems correct.

please tell me what settings you have enabled/disabled and what parameters for that policy.  Also the question above: when you get duplicate printers autocreated do they always have the same driver?

The drivers is the same for all printers.  In the policy, all the options in printing are enabled except for printer mapping. Below is the breakdown.

Autocreation - autocreate all client printers
Legacy client printers - create dymanic session - priveate client printers
Printer properties retention - held in profile only if not saved in client
Print job routing - connect directly to network print server if possible

Drivers
   native printer drive autoinstall
do not automaically install drivers is checked
   universal driver
use universal driver only if requested driver is not available

Session Drivers
    no parameters

Hope this helps..

>> Legacy client printers - create dymanic session - priveate client printers

turn this off and then try it again.  Also, because you have it set to autocreate all client printers you could get duplicates this way if the client machine has duplicate printers installed.

Will disabling this feature affect the clients auto-created printer in any way.

actually I was reading your post again and that may not actually help you.  Usually you only want to have this setting if you have previous versions of Metaframe running.  The policies you have configured actually look right.

Back to the original problem, when you look at the printers that get created so they all have the same session ID, and are they all online?  I was just thinking it may be a possibility that these are old session printers that are not getting deleted when the user logs out.

The same printer is created on different session ID.  I can reference it back to the CMC and what apps are opened within that session ID.   Therefore, it's not an old session.

ok then... that makes sense.  So each time a user launches an app, they are getting a new session ID?  Is that correct?

I kept the setting enabled but choose the "create old-style client printers" option instead.  This apparently worked but all auto-created client printers are viewable by everyone now.  This option is meant to do this.  I also ran into this article on Citrix website (CTX106744) which may be the cause of the problem.  Thanks for you help.
