Are you sure you want to permanently delete all the items and subfolders in the 'Deleted Items' folder? when exiting Outlook

In Outlook 2000, whenever I exit,  I am asked "Are you sure you want to permanently delete all the items and subfolders in the 'Deleted Items' folder?"  I only want this message when I choose "Empty 'Deleted Items' Folder" from the Delete Items context menu.

    Hi gbm33,

    then you need to turn off empty the delete items folder on exit
    1. on the menu choose Tools, click Options
    2. Click the Other Tab and uncheck the box Empty the Deleted items folder upon exiting
