Dell PowerEdge 2650 Server with OpenManage - orange light is blinking but when I go into OpenManage everything looks okay... why is the orange light blinking?

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2650 Server running Server 2003.  It has Dell OpenManage installed.  The light on the front cover is blinking orange but when I go into OpenManage everything looks okay... why is the orange light blinking?

    did you check you event logs? it is overheating?  did you check your drive arrays (if one is going bad it will eventully fail)?

    Why dont call Dell to find out what indictator of orange light blinking is?

    Openmanage needs to be setup correctly to catch all the alerts. If that isn't the case you might get an error code without openmanage knowing about the error. Often you'll also get such an error code if you have set up a server with a single PSU which actually normally has 2 PSU's. This might have been forgotten when configuring openmanage.

    try this :
    Goto Open OpenManage Application and select Sever Administrator. It will ask you to input your server password and will allow you log in. Selcet Logs and from there clear the logs.
