Sometimes I would like to see a site I am still constructing, in at least two or three different monitor resolutions, but without altering this at desktop properties. Is it possible? is there any program to accomplish this?

Sure. I suggest the easiest way is to keep your monitor set to the highest resolution you want to view it in, and just re-size your browser window to the appropriate dimensions for lower resolutions. If you use Firefox (and every web designer should), the Web Developer extension ( has a wonderful array of tools for a designer, including a re-size tab, which allows you to set the browser as if it were a different resolution.

Microsoft, always quick to jump onto a good bandwagon when they see one, has a beta Developer Toolbar, which also has that capability.
