What is the best way to edit the permissions on a registry key ?

    1. Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
    2. Click on the key on which you wanna change permissions.
    3. On the menu bar, click Edit --> Permissions...
    4. Now, it looks the same as File and Folder permission settings, doesn't it? As well as File and Folder permissions, if you want your key to inherit permissions from its parent key, click Advanced and check the "Inherit from parents the permission entries that apply to child objects" checkbox, then click Apply.
