What exactly does 'implementation' mean in this context?<br />
I thought you couldnt implement an abstract class?<br />
Or can you just not create an instance of an abstract class?<br />

You cannot instantiate an object of the type of an abstract type but you have to provide an implementation in an abstract class. To provide an implementation means the actual function (or property) body, so the part where it actually does something, unlike in an interface, where you only provide the prototype (the function signature), so the name, the parameters and the returned type.<br />

C# is an object-oriented programming language created in conjunction with Microsoft’s .NET framework. Compilation is usually done into the Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL), which is then JIT-compiled to native code (and cached) during execution in the Common Language Runtime (CLR).
