Auditing Windows Machines XP 2000

I am trying to audit a bunch of the machines on my network for security purposes.  Basically I am looking for information similar to what is the system information tool, such as processor, memory, make, etc.  I am looking to do a scan on the entire network rather then go to each machine individually to get this information.

Is there a utility to do this?

Many utilities.  Though old, I used AIDA32 and added it to the logon script so it would output information on the computer to the computer's C drive then scripted to copy that file back to a central location.

You can also use MSINFO32 and have it dump that information to a file.

where would I run MSINFO32?  Is it on the resource kit?

    Many thanks!

Also I want to scan an entire subnet, it looks like this command works on a machine by machine basis?
