MySQL Cluster - Shared Disk Configuration
All,
I'm currently setting up MySQL 5.x Cluster on Redhat 4.0. The hardware configuration looks like this:
2x Dell Poweredge 1850
1x Dell PowerVault 220S
The hardware is set in "cluster" mode per Dell but the OS is *NOT* clustered. I opted to have MySQL do the clustering as opposed to clustering the entire shooting match.
Here's my question: In the OS the mount point for the Powervault is /data and is visible by either node in this configuration. Does the MySQL cluster process prevent concurrent writing to that parition in HA mode?
The documentation regarding this was lacking so any insight would be useful.
Thanks.
