frontpage 2003 how do i insert code or links and not have frontpage change them.

i have basic knowledge of frontpage and have been using it since i started on the web in 99.  my most common problem is that front page likes to change code and affiliate links and other things when you save the page.  this makes the affiliate links or code not work.   that is a big problem.
since i upgraded to frontpage 2003 i have not been able to figure out how to add code and tell frontpage not to change it.
please help

insert -> web component -> advanced controls -> html

which inserts a webbot/htmlmarkup span that would look something like this:

<p><!--webbot bot="HTMLMarkup" startspan --><p>This code will remain untouched by FrontPage</p><!--webbot bot="HTMLMarkup" endspan --></p>

they really hid that well and it is very deep.  is it possible to add it to the tool bar some how or can i just copy the code and paste it in when i need it.

this is the code i got.  all i put in the code was the word test.

<!--webbot bot="HTMLMarkup" startspan -->test<!--webbot bot="HTMLMarkup" endspan -->

you can add an "html" toolbar button, which will take you right to the 'html markup' dialog box to enter the code:

view -> toolbars ->customize

commands tab:

'insert' on left, then scroll down to 'html' on right (about 2/3rd the way down)

click-n-drag 'html' to where you want it in your toolbars
