I have sify broadband at home. For connecting my laptop to sify broadband I need to change my machine IP and dns IPs.So that I can use the sify broadband client to login into sify.Once log-in I am able to connect to my office VPN  .But the problem is whenever I login to sify broadband my user profile gots corrupt (may be) and my machine got removed from my office domain. After this when I come to office and connect my laptop (after modifying the ip and dns setting as per office LAN) to office LAN I am able to ping other machines but not able to connect to any.The solution I tried (forced to) is login into my machine (without selecting the domain) as admin.Remove the domain entries ,Rename my user profile and then create again. Then again add the machine/user profile to office domain.
If any body facing simillar problem or know the solution then please provide the laptop operating system is windows XP.
