I have a pc that i am working on for a customer. It has win2000 on it and also novell version 4.81.0.0. It boots into novell and when i enter the password it starts to go into windows then reboots with a quick error message that i cannot read fast enough. I know there is a way of telling it not to reboot after error but i didnt see that option.

Try to start the computer using the safe mode. Then check the any errors in the event viewer. Post back with the errors.

When booting into safe mode. It just gives a black screen, then said the profile is corrupt and there is not enough storage space, which i know is not true. I have replaced a memory chip and am installing a fresh 2000.

can you post the boot.ini file ?

to avoid reboot after the error, you need to get into windows, either normally or in safe mode.

Rightclick "My computer", properties, advanced,
under "startup and recovery" , click Settings
untick "Automatically restart"
(this was on XP, should be the same or very similar on W2K)
