move SBS 2003 to a new box and rename domain

I have two issues.  I have Windows SBS2003

I have a newer bigger server to move to

and

I need to rename the doamin name

I have about 40 users

I have already installed SBS 2003 on the new server and applied all the updates

I am most worried about exchange  data.  I could reenter users again if I need to. and can easilyy move all data files over

What do yo think is the easiest and safest way to get the users and there exchange data to the new server?

Actually since you WANT to rename the domain you can use Microsoft's Migration method found at http://sbsurl.com/migrate.  This is a step-by-step process that should not be modified unless you are very familiar with each of the tools and methods.  Although the paper states that it's for SBS2000 or Windows 2000 migration, it is also valid for SBS2003 to SBS2003.

1.For the active directory conents, you can use microsoft's ADMT 3.0 (Active Directory Migration Tool v3.0). You can use that to migrate all the ou's in your active directory from the old server into the new one.

2. There is a utility from microsoft ( exmerge ) that can do what you want. Only notice this, don't logon with the administrator account ( local or domain ) into the server where you are about to run the exmerge because it will not work. Hope this helps.

Did you follow the steps outlined in the paper I linked above?  Did you use the Exchange Migration Wizard?
