Installed Network printers not showing up.

There are two network printers installed, I can see it from excel or word, and you can print on it. But if I go to printers & faxes, there is nothing at all. If i want to add more printers , I cannot because add a printer option does not respond
to me anything. I can't connect to any more network network printers expect those which are already installed.

Hello there,

Is this printer on a print serve or is it a local printer that is being shared from a computer?

To me, it sounds like maybe this is an access issue- that you don't have rights to the printer.  Are you an administrator? You may only have rights to print to the printer, and nothing else.

No I am local admin on all Pcs. Today same problem happens on one of the other PC as well. Common things bwtween both pcs that Primavera was the last software installed.

Well, since you mentioned this additional software, I am wondering if the .dll files were changed.

This printer issue can happen with a third-party of .dll [ dynamic-link library] files are located in the
%Systemroot% folder (\Winnt folder) and the System32 directory. If .dll files are located in the %Systemroot% folder (\Winnt folder) and the System32 directory, the printer subsystem does not function correctly.

To fix this, rename all .dll files from the %Systemroot% folder (\Winnt folder), except for the following files:
Twain.dll, Twain_32.dll, Vmmreg32.dll. Unfortunately, renaming or removing these files may disable other installed programs or otherwise cause those programs to fail.

It definately sounds like primavera might be the culprit.........

did you upgrade xp recently? then remove the update, there was one which had problems with printers a week or so ago. Or use system restore to a previous date.
