dell 5300 networked printer prompting users to install driver
Ok got a dell w5300 printer on a win2003 file and print server installed and shared out to all users on the network.
Can print from server to printer fine, so can most users apart from 2.
They can install the printer and see it ok can send jobs to printer but do not print, if the try check the properties of the printer get a message saying the driver is not installed on the pc. if you click yes to install run through install but does not work as when you go to properties get the same message arrghhh
tried browsing the network and connecting that way same result
reinstalled printer on server with latest driver and on client machines still the same error.
any ideas would be much appreciated

Hey
Allready did that still gets the error, on one of the machines have installed the printer locally and created a tcp/ip port using the printers ip.
This fixed it for one but would not work for the other kept getting unable to complete request. After mapping to the printer using its ip deleted and readded printer works ok but still stuffed for one machine. Gonna blow away the profile on the server and locally see what that does.

Problem solved found that on the local PC's if I stopped and started to spooler service myself driver started working correctly the wierd thing is that even though the spooler service was causing a problem for this printer all other printers worked fine on those PC (have four different networked printers all different models)
So question closed no points to anyone : )
cheers

When the printers appear, right click the desired printer and then choose Connect. Once that is done, set this printer as the default printer (if desired) and try to print to it.
